More Fall Break fun! Members enjoyed the changing weather with a nature walk and scavenger hunt!

We're having a great fall break both in and out of the Club! Members enjoyed a field trip to Hayes Arboretum where they went on a storybook hike, had a challenge of who could find the coolest leaf, and explored bugs, birds, trees, and more in the Nature Center.

Members of our BGC Talent Team rocked our Smart Futures Dinner last week, greeting guests, performing dance numbers, and even giving a speech! Stay tuned for more pictures from this star-studded event!

Did you know? BGCA has an innovative web platform called MyFuture where Club members can participate in a variety of activities in-person and virtually. BGCWC members recently joined one in which they created their own unique ice cream flavor using sweet, sour and salty toppings!

National Hispanic Heritage Month is September 15-October 15, and our members are celebrating all month long with activities like creating banners using individuals artwork!

Our Wayne Bank members had a blast decorating our donation boxes for their Pop Tab Collection Drive in honor of Larry "The Can Man" VanNess. In his lifetime, Larry donated over 27 million tabs to The Ronald McDonald House to help house families in need whose children are in the hospital. During a Thinking Like a Scientist activity, our classroom members learned about how color impacts our perception of taste. Members tried 5 different color drinks and had to rate them and guess the flavor. At the end of the taste test, we revealed they were all the exact same juice, just different colors. In addition to their homework sessions, our #IndianaKids do volunteer sessions to learn the value of giving back to the community. Members recently made and decorated paper butterflies for the Butterfly Room at Miami Valley Hospital. #WhateverItTakes #BGCStrong

Learning can be fun, too! Our #IndianaKids, a program focused on high-yeild learning sessions, had party that doubled as a science experiment! Members put vanilla ice cream in the middle of fruit roll ups and wrapped them up to create a chemical reaction resulting in crackling crust for their sweet treat!

With the recent hot weather, our members and staff can't help but reminisce about the incredible summer we had—especially at Camp Guy, where each day was filled with adventure and growth. Our final week was a special one, with the unveiling of our Counselors in Training (CIT) summer project—a camp map mural, followed by camper awards, a badge ceremony, and a final feast together! We're excited to see our members bring that same energy and excitement into the Clubs this year!

Our #IndianaKids kicked off their first Workforce Development session with some practical skill building! Our members used their fingers & yarn to hand-crochet a variety of items including: necklaces, bracelets, belts, scrunchies, scarves, and headbands!
